The Fourth Wall was orginally simply an Everquest guild started by Gaedan, Tolsia, Sagus, ArshrAAm and Einkaran -- though the real credit for its inception is the many people that began to speak of an EQ guild for readers of the webcomic Player vs. Player. Gaedan drafted a rough draft for a charter and then was roped into leading the insanity into Everquest. Before Fourth Wall got its tags in-game, Greater Faydark was awash with "Huzzah!" as people flocked to Tarew Marr to start their new characters to join our ranks. Times change, however, as we grew up and became more involved in the world of Norrath, many of our orginal ranks thinned -- though we had picked up a great many new friends. Over time, guild administration became too much for the "Fearless Leader", and Gaedan stepped down from leadership, passing the title of Guildmaster to Fuurfuut, who began his administration by going linkdead.

Since then, there have been the greatest of adventures and the direst of times as we have celebrated our guild with passion, emotion and a healthy bit of drama. Guild leaders have come and gone; the guild abides. The orginal guild spawned others, as we branched out into new games, Camelot, Anarchy, Diablo, just to name a few. Now united solely by the name, we celebrate our guild by taking pride in the name "Fourth Wall", proud of our history, of our passion for gaming, and most of all each other. Everquest (Tarew Marr)

Fourth Wall's humble beginnings are found in West Freeport, Anatonica, when a world-weary Gaedan Mentheren founded Norrath's goofiest ensemble of adventurers to date. Few names are not remembered among the host of those triumphant heores that returned to the local watering hole that would soon be called The Tavern of the Fourth Wall in Greater Faydark to confuse and frustrate the locals with shouts of 'Huzzah!'

Dark Age of Camelot: Albion (Palomides)

Though we secretly know he's a Midgard Skald that somehow lost his forehead hair, Kinelen (irc: Dogmeat) has heeded the call to lead those who would defend Arthur's sacred realm from those that would dispoil the proud kingdom of Britton. Against Troll and Elf alike, the Fourth Wall stands resiliant, always with Arthur's great dream of Camelot in their hearts. His golden rules steady their nerves and ready their weapons; for his glory they fight under their captain, Kinelen, who leads them into battle with song and sword alike.

Dark Age of Camelot: Hibernia (Bedevere)

The call of the wind, the deep hurt of the land. These are what calls me to her defense. Not the creul elves with their magic perversions, not the decietful lurikeen or the uncertain Firbolg. It is the land of Ire, the Emerald Isle that keeps me fighting, that draws yet another song from these tired lips. It is what inspires all of us, I suppose, even the wee folk and the Firbolg, and yes, even the Tuatha De Danann, though secret their motives be. Hibernia, our Isle of Sorrow, she will be what kills us all, until then, we fight. The Norse look to our land with their war parties, and always the wicked men of Arthur's failed kingdom do plot for more territory and riches. It is I alone, a young bard with old and odd memories, do pick up a sword and lead these fellows into battle.

4W/Hibernia, more geared for the roleplayer, more geared for the those attracted to the sorrow, the story and of course, the fairies of Dark Age, is always looking for more souls to hold against imperial Albion and bloodthirsty Midgard. Dark Age of Camelot: Midgard (Morgan LeFay)

Oh Wodin, sing me to sleep tonight. Sing to me battles grand, of brethern and sword. Oh Wodin, sing to me courage, so I might pwn. Such is the cry of Midg(t)ard, and while Fourth Wall does not have large numbers in Midgard, if one does want to play, the guild is formed on the M(i)LF server. Currently, there is little organization in Midgard, but if anyone is willing to pick up the banner and smite Briton and Irish alike, talk to Gaedan for more information.

Anarchy Online (Rubi-Ka 1)

Just recently, a few of us have been picking up our copies of AO and remembering what fun it was to shoot shit instead of hit stuff with a sword, dutifully placed those CDs in our computers, and have been brought back to the world of Rubi-Ka, in service to the life-giving Omni-Tek, sworn to end all Clan resistance. Mikston (irc: Mikal) has successfully gained funding for the Omni Department of Mass Intoxication While Shooting Clanners, code name, Fourth Wall.

Fourth Wall has now been formed on Rubi-Ka 1, and has from day one, started with a good RP background as well as good gaming for all levels. Led by Evil Director Mikston and served by a corps of officers including Eenae, Kanjasmash (irc: gaedan), Gyron (irc: Deadpool), Badcold (irc: Nadin) and Jukeu (irc: Juk).
